Only the real USDT contract
Anyone can deploy a TRC-20 called "Tether USD". Chainhook only reports transfers from Tether's contract, TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t, and contract_address is in every event so you can check it yourself.
Get a signed webhook when a TRON address sends or receives USDT TRC-20. Chainhook waits 19 blocks, about 57 seconds, then posts the transfer to your endpoint. No node, no TronGrid polling.
The contract Chainhook watches, how amounts are scaled, and how long USDT takes to reach your endpoint.
TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6tTronGrid and most public TRON APIs are pull-based: you ask for an address's recent TRC-20 transfers and diff the result. That means one request per address per poll, rate limits that grow with your address count, and gaps when a poll fails. Chainhook reads every block once, waits 19 blocks, and pushes only the transfers that touch your addresses.
Create a webhook with network: "tron", type: "token" and the address you want to watch. The signing secret is returned once.
Every TRON block is scanned. A matching USDT transfer is held until it is 19 blocks deep, about 57 seconds.
A transfer.detected event arrives with an X-Webhook-Signature header. Failed attempts are retried automatically, up to 3 attempts in total, waiting 1 minute, then 5 minutes between attempts.

X-Webhook-Signature is a hex HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body, keyed with your webhook's secret. Reject any request where it doesn't match.

USDT on TRON has 6 decimals, so 49 USDT is an amount_raw of 49000000. Use the amount string or amount_raw with an integer or decimal type, never a float.
Delivery is at least once, so the same event can arrive twice. Store the event id, or the pair transaction_hash and transfer_index, and ignore repeats. One transaction can contain several USDT transfers, which is why both values matter.
Receiving USDT costs the receiver nothing. Moving it out later burns TRX for energy unless the address has staked or rented energy, so budget for that if you sweep deposit addresses.

Create a webhook with network: "tron", type: "token", direction: "in" and the receiving address. When USDT arrives and reaches 19 confirmations, Chainhook posts a transfer.detected event with the amount, sender and transaction hash.
Chainhook waits 19 blocks, about 57 seconds. At that depth a TRON block has been confirmed by enough Super Representatives to be irreversible.
TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t, issued by Tether, with 6 decimals.
Yes, through a small bridge: point the webhook at your own endpoint, verify the signature, then call the Telegram Bot API. Chainhook sends JSON, not chat messages.
No. Chainhook only reads public blockchain data. You register a public address and receive events about it.
Yes. Use direction: "out" for withdrawals only, or "any" for both directions on one webhook.
