Refund policy

We don't refund partial periods. You can cancel any time and keep your plan until the period ends.

Last updated October 13, 2026

1. How billing works

Chainhook has a Pay as you go plan with no monthly fee and paid plans billed monthly or yearly. Paid plans are billed at the start of each billing period. Detections beyond your plan's allowance are paid from a prepaid usage balance, which you add funds to on the Billing page by hand or automatically. Retries and replays are free.

Payments are processed by the third-party payment provider shown at checkout. Some providers act as our reseller and the Merchant of Record for your payment. When they do, they handle the payment, any sales tax or VAT, and refunds, and their own terms also apply to your payment.

2. Cancelling your plan

You can cancel your plan at any time on the Billing page. You keep it until the end of the period you've paid for, and then detection stops until you choose a plan again. Your usage balance stays on your account.

Downgrades, including moving to Pay as you go, work the same way: your current plan stays in place until the end of the period, and the new plan starts with the next one.

3. What isn't refundable

Except where the law requires otherwise, we don't refund:

  • Subscription fees, including the rest of a period after you cancel, downgrade, or switch from yearly to monthly billing.
  • Funds added to your usage balance, whether by hand or automatically, including any balance left when you cancel, change plans, or delete your account.
  • Detections already paid for from your balance, including detections your endpoint didn't accept.
  • Fees for accounts closed for fraud or abuse.

4. Billing mistakes

If you were charged twice, or charged because of an error on our side, contact us at any time and we'll correct it.

When we correct a mistake with a refund, any tax you paid on that amount is refunded too, and your payment provider returns the money to your original payment method.

5. Closing your account

Deleting your account ends your plan immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period, and any usage balance left on the account is forfeited. Cancel your plan first if you'd like to keep it until the period ends.

If we close your account without cause, or stop offering the Service, we'll refund the fees you paid for the rest of your current billing period and any usage balance left on the account.

6. How to contact us about a charge

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, and include the invoice number from your payment provider. You can also contact your payment provider directly.

Once a refund is approved, it can take several business days to reach you, depending on your bank.

7. Your legal rights

This policy doesn't affect your statutory rights. Your payment provider's refund policy and terms also apply to your payment, and where they're more generous, they apply instead.

Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. While a chargeback is open, we may suspend your account.
